Camping World of Akron at 1005 Interstate Parkway, Akron, Ohio.

The radio in are new Puma camper we purchased last June stop working. I contacted Camping World to see how to proceed under warranty I was told that I would have to bring in my 30 foot camper to them so they could check the radio out. I told the lady that we live over an hour away and it would cost me more money to bring the camper there and back than the radio is worth, I told her I could remove the radio and bring it in but she said no the radio has to be checked out in the camper.
My other option was to have a tech come out to the camp site and I would have to pay for his service. I told her both options are unacceptable and I wanted to talk to a manager on duty, she told me they had no manager working on Saturday and there was nothing more she could do if I didn't want to bring the camper in.
I guess this is how they avoid honoring warranties they make it difficult for the customers.

Camping World we resolved the issue.

First time buyer of a travel trailer. I have good remarks and bad remarks about Camping World. First the good. Very clean well organized sales team. Personnel and customer service at the front desk very friendly and helpful. The manger very outgoing and helpful and very professional. Customer Service person very professional and courteous and directed me to a sale representative as soon as I approached.

That's where the bad started to come. I won't mention names but the sales person didn't seem to care. I informed him what I was looking for in a used travel trailer for camping and traveling. He did take us around looking at different trailers which was probably the only good thing we were pleased with.

Thinking he would tell us something about each trailer since being a first time travel trailer buyer not knowing anything about how they operate or what certain switches were connected to and how they worked, he just stood around and waited around until we looked inside and then came out.

We did end up buying one thanks to management's zeal and his enthusiasm to make sure we were happy with our choice. And worked hard in getting financing. Also thank John for all his tasks in filling out all the paperwork for the final sale.

But here is where we are disappointed. We had know idea about what size of hitching ball needed until we backed up to the RV. Last second we were told we need a 2 5/16 hitching ball which should have been told to us right at the beginning. Instead of taking me inside parts and services and showing me what I need to properly tow the RV, I had to go in and walk around looking for parts not knowing where they are at. Plus I had to wait about 15 minutes because of only one cashier and the place was packed with customers. Instead of him taking the initiative of showing us what certain switches do and how things worked. We had to asked him each time we seen one ourselves. Never showed us how to operate the stove, the sofa bed, the electrical panel box which we just discovered we had one, plus the radio/DVD player. Didn't explain the power converter which we didn't know about But he did show us what receptacle outlet and plug to use to plug the 120 volt shore connection.

Anyway when we came back out of the parts department to install the hitching ball the salesman disappeared. Never return to ask us if we had anymore concerns. Which we did but we didn't want to bother anybody else so we did as much as we knew and left.
